Sitare Akbaş — Biography

Sitare Akbaş is an actress in television series and film who became widely known for playing Zeyno in Akasya Durağı, which began in 2008. Born in Istanbul as Makbule Sitare Akbaş, she is a graduate of the theatre department of the Istanbul University State Conservatory. Since 2020 she has returned to the screen in productions such as Sen Çal Kapımı, Ramo, Kırmızı Oda and Kızıl Goncalar.

Her screen career began in 2005 when she played Ayşe in Beşinci Boyut, which started airing on Samanyolu TV. Three years later Kanal D's Akasya Durağı brought her recognition, and she made her first film appearance in 2009 as Delal in İncir Çekirdeği. In 2012 she played Yasemin in the series Dila Hanım.

After a few projects she returned to television in 2020, playing Figen Yıldırım (Fifi) in Sen Çal Kapımı (titled Love Is in the Air in English), which began on FOX. In 2021 she joined the cast of Ramo on Show TV as Dilber and appeared in Kırmızı Oda between 2021 and 2022. In 2023 she played Makbule Hanım in the film Zübeyde: Analar ve Oğullar and Birgül Tezel in the series Kızıl Goncalar. In her private life she is married.
