Sitare Akbaş — Biography

Born Makbule Sitare Akbaş, the actress came into the world in Istanbul on 6 October 1988 and trained at Istanbul University's State Conservatory, in its theatre department. She first appeared on screen in 2005 in the series Beşinci Boyut on Samanyolu TV, and found wide recognition playing Zeyno in Akasya Durağı, which began airing in 2008. Her first film role came in 2009 as Delal in İncir Çekirdeği, followed in 2012 by the part of Yasemin in the series Dila Hanım.

She appeared in the series Sen Çal Kapımı in 2020, joined the cast of Ramo the following year, and in 2023 played the character Birgül Tezel in Kızıl Goncalar. Her marriage to Cengiz Orhonlu, a friend of fourteen years, drew wide public attention, and in 2026 the couple spoke publicly about their thoughts on having children.
