Semra Dinçer — Biography
Semra Dinçer (25 July 1965, Ankara – 1 November 2021, Istanbul) was a Turkish stage, film and television actress and screenwriter. Having received no formal acting training, she learned the profession on the job and began her career in 1984 with a leading role in the TRT series Köşe Dönücü.
Appearing in more than 42 films and TV series, she was best known for her portrayal of Handan Tekinoğlu in the series Kuzey Güney. Her other credits included İstanbullu Gelin, Kavak Yelleri and Ağır Romantik, and she also worked as a screenwriter on seven films.
Dinçer died on 1 November 2021 in Istanbul after a two-year battle with lung cancer and was buried in the Osmaniye Village Cemetery in Ankara's Sincan district.
