Selahattin Taşdöğen — Biography
Selahattin Taşdöğen (born 19 July 1951 in Erzurum) is a Turkish stage, film and television actor. He stepped onto the stage in 1969 with the Keloğlan Children's Theatre and went on to work at the Türkbank Children's Theatre; from 1974 he began appearing in cinema and television. In 1986 he graduated from the painting department of Marmara University's Faculty of Fine Arts.
He has worked with many companies, including the Bakırköy Comedy Theatre, the Istanbul Theatre and the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality City Theatres, and became known to wide audiences through productions such as Vizontele (2001), Çılgın Bediş (1996, as Necmi Dede), Kertenkele and En Son Babalar Duyar. Alongside acting, he taught art, art history and tourism at various schools for many years.
