Şebnem Dönmez — Biography
Şebnem Dönmez (born 17 May 1974 in Salzgitter) is a Turkish actress and television presenter. Born in Salzgitter, in the West German state of Lower Saxony, she holds both German and Turkish citizenship, was educated at Şehremini Anatolian High School in Istanbul, and has worked on screen since the early 1990s.
She became widely known in 1996 as co-host, with Murat Başoğlu, of Sabah Şekerleri, a programme credited with pioneering the Turkish morning-show format. The pair went on to present the Star TV game show Görevimiz Tehlike in 1997 and Cumartesi Gecesi Ateşi in 1998. She moved into cinema in 2002 with Mumya Firarda and Kolay Para, the latter opposite Emre Altuğ.
As an actress she drew particular notice for Ezel Akay's Neredesin Firuze (Where's Firuze?, 2004) and Hacivat Karagöz Neden Öldürüldü? (Killing the Shadows). She played Ceyda Aydın in the film Vali (The Governor) and Mehveş in the series Zemheri, and her other credits include the series Gelgit and Son Yaz and the films Çakallarla Dans 5 (2018), Kadınlara Mahsus (2023) and Rüzgara Bırak (2025).
