Rojda Demirer — Biography

Rojda Demirer is a Turkish actress of Kurdish origin, born on August 12, 1980 in Ankara. The daughter of a family with roots in Diyarbakır, she grew up with her mother and older sister after losing her father to cancer; her sister Ruken Demirer is also an actress.

In 1988 she passed the Children's Hour exams of TRT Ankara Radio and began performing in radio theatre. She graduated from the Theatre Department of the Ankara State Conservatory at Hacettepe University in 2001 and appeared on stage as a staff artist at the Trabzon State Theatre between 2003 and 2008.

She made her cinema debut with the film Gönderilmemiş Mektuplar, a role that earned her the Promising Actress award at the Altın Kelebek Awards. On television she acted in the series Aşk Olsun (2003), Melekler Korusun (2009), Geniş Aile (2010), Acil Aşk Aranıyor (2015), Kördüğüm (2016), Adı Efsane (2017), Çarpışma (2018), Maraşlı (2021) and Son Nefesime Kadar (2022). In 2024 she appeared in the film Çakallarla Dans 7.
