Müşfik Kenter — Biography
Müşfik Galip Kenter was a Turkish theatre and film actor, born on 8 September 1932 in the Üsküdar district of Istanbul to diplomat Ahmet Naci Kenter and his English-born wife, Olga Cynthia Kenter. Trained at the Theatre Department of the Ankara State Conservatory, he co-founded the Kent Oyuncuları theatre company together with his sister, actress Yıldız Kenter.
Over a career spanning roughly forty-seven years, Kenter appeared in more than ninety films and television productions, including Murtaza and Time to Love (both 1965) and My Dreams, My Love and You (1987), as well as the series Yorgun Savaşçı and Avrupa Yakası. In 1966 he won the Golden Orange award for best supporting actor at the Antalya Film Festival, and he was later honored with the title of State Artist.
Kenter died on 15 August 2012 in Istanbul, leaving a lasting legacy in Turkish theatre and cinema.
