Müge Boz — Biography

Müge Boz is a Turkish actress and model best known for the surreal comedy series Leyla ile Mecnun and the comic-book film Karaoğlan; her mother is a Yugoslav immigrant of Bosniak descent and her father is from the Aegean region, and she spent her childhood in Istanbul before the family moved to Karşıyaka in İzmir when she was twelve, where she finished İzmir Atatürk High School. She completed a degree in Cinema, TV and Public Relations at Anadolu University, then received a scholarship to study strategic design and digital photography at Høgskulen i Volda in Norway; she also trained in ballet for eleven years and piano for four, and worked as a commercial model. Boz made her screen debut in Melekler Korusun in 2008, went on to play Meltem in Şüphe and to appear in Arka Sokaklar, Yalan Dünya and Muhteşem Yüzyıl Kösem, left Leyla ile Mecnun partway through its second season, and later starred in Sevda Kuşun Kanadında and played İdil in Kayıtdışı. In film she appeared in Aşk Tesadüfleri Sever, Toprağın Çocukları, Karaoğlan and Bu İşte Bir Yalnızlık Var, took the lead role in Çat Kapı Aşk, and appeared in Kalp Estetiği as well as Cenazemize Hoş Geldiniz. She is married to the basketball player Caner Erdeniz and is the mother of two children; Boz said in 2025 that the family had moved to London for their children's education, and in 2026 revealed she had lived with a chronic illness since the age of 15.
