Gholam-Reza Sarkub — Biography

Gholam-Reza Sarkub was born in Isfahan in 1931 and died in London on 15 February 2021. Working as an Iranian film actor and director, he became known for playing Rahim Ab-mangol in Gheysar, a film directed by Masoud Kimiai that ranks among the classics of Iranian cinema. He also took the part of Abbas in Wood Pigeon, and appeared across a run of pictures including Baba Shamal, The Dagger and Ali Bi Gham. His wife, Simin Sarkub, worked as a sound engineer.
