Ermin Bravo — Biography
Ermin Bravo is a Bosnian stage and film actor born on 5 December 1979 in Sarajevo. Active on screen since 2001, he gained wide recognition at home for his leading role in the 2003 film Remake, and is also remembered for his work in Angelina Jolie's In the Land of Blood and Honey, as well as Grain, Love Island, On the Path and the 2017 film Men Don't Cry.
A veteran of stages in Sarajevo, Zenica, Belgrade and Zagreb, he has appeared in productions such as Antigone, Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet, earning more than twenty awards over his career, including the Lovorov Vijenac four times at the MESS Theatre Festival. His performance in Remake won him best actor at the San Francisco Wine Country Film Festival, while the ensemble of In the Land of Blood and Honey received the Cinema for Peace award. Having directed the short film Dah, which won the Heart of Sarajevo at the Sarajevo Film Festival, Bravo now teaches acting as a professor at the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo.
