Daniele Liotti — Biography
Italian film, theatre and television actor Daniele Liotti has appeared in more than thirty films since 1993. In Italy he first drew attention with comic roles, then moved on to dramatic work, international co-productions and Spanish productions. He has also long been an ambassador for an association that fights muscular dystrophy.
He appeared in two films close together in 1995 and 1996, playing Riccardo in Bidoni and Sergio Baldini in Cresceranno i carciofi a Mimongo. A string of comedies in cinema and television followed. His first dramatic part came in 1998 in the Argentine feature Oltre la giustizia, the same year as Abbiamo solo fatto l'amore. He also took a small part in the German-British-American miniseries Doctor Zhivago; in 2003 he played Max in La vita come viene and Massimo Carlotto in Runaway. In 2006 he shared the lead with Max von Sydow and Dolph Lundgren in a two-part television production about a Roman soldier sent by Emperor Tiberius to Jerusalem to investigate the death of Jesus of Nazareth.
Other credits include Il Capo dei Capi, Clash of Civilization Over an Elevator in Piazza Vittorio (2010) and the Spanish productions La herencia Valdemar II and Perdona si te llamo amor. His brother Marco Liotti is also a singer and founder of a music group.
