Burak Demir — Biography

Burak Demir is a Turkish actor born in Ankara on November 3, 1978. He graduated from Bilkent University's Faculty of Music and Performing Arts, Department of Theatre Acting, and later completed a master's degree in Advanced Acting at Bahçeşehir University; before acting he was also involved in football, and his brother Murat Demir works in the profession as well.

Demir made his screen debut alongside his brother Murat in the 2000 series Bizim Evin Halleri, where he became known for the character Rüzgâr Aslan. Following roles in İffet and Kanlı Düğün (2005), Genco (2007), Bu Kalp Seni Unutur Mu? (2009) and Farklı Desenler (2010), he landed one of his most memorable parts in 2013 as Hüseyin Çavuş in Muhteşem Yüzyıl; that same year he also appeared in Bizim Okul, İnadına Yaşamak and the film Sağ Salim 2: Sil Baştan. He played Niko in both the 2013 film Şevkat Yerimdar and its 2017 television adaptation, and around the same time joined the cast of Diriliş: Ertuğrul.

Demir spent several years on the long-running series Arka Sokaklar and continued in historical drama with Alparslan: Büyük Selçuklu in 2021. In early 2026 he returned to set to play Burhan in the film Gecenin Köprüsü, shot in Ardahan.
