Berkan Şal — Biography

Berkan Şal was born in 1969 in Ankara. He completed his acting training at the Theatre and Acting Department of Ankara University's Faculty of Language, History and Geography.

He became widely known for playing the character Akbaba in the 2010 series Behzat Ç.: Bir Ankara Polisiyesi, a role he reprised in the 2011 film Behzat Ç.: Seni Kalbime Gömdüm. In the years that followed he took on different characters in the series Reaksiyon and 46 Yok Olan, and later joined the cast of the TRT series Payitaht Abdülhamid as Hiram.

Standing 1.77 meters tall with brown eyes and born under the sign of Aquarius, Şal is married to Eylem Çalı.
