Behruz Vüsuki — Biography
Behrouz Vossoughi, born Khalil Vossoughi on 10 March 1938 in Khoy, is an Iranian film actor of Azerbaijani descent. Before turning to acting he held clerical posts in the tax and health administrations, later working as a radio and television announcer. He gained nationwide fame through his collaborations with director Masoud Kimiai, appearing in Gheysar, Reza Motorcyclist, Dash Akol and The Deer, performances that brought him several best-actor honors at home and the nickname "the Caesar of Iranian cinema" among fans. His international recognition includes a 1974 best-actor prize from the International Film Festival of India, plus a lifetime-achievement honor given at the San Francisco International Film Festival's 2006 edition. Two of his brothers, Changiz and Shahrad, likewise became actors in Iran. After settling abroad following the 1979 revolution, he returned to the screen decades later in Rhino Season.
