Barış Atay — Biography
Barış Atay Mengüllüoğlu was born on 22 September 1981 in Wilhelmshaven, Germany. He left the biology program at Çukurova University before completing a theatre degree at Yeditepe University, going on to work as an actor as well as a director and producer.
He built his early career with a long-running role in the television series Arka Sıradakiler, later appearing in the films Güzel Günler Göreceğiz and Damat Koğuşu, as well as acting in Eksik, a film he also directed. Between 2018 and 2023 he served in the Turkish Parliament as a member representing the Workers' Party of Turkey (TİP).
