Barış Arduç — Biography

Barış Arduç is a Turkish television and film actor born on October 9, 1987, in Switzerland. After being born and raised in Switzerland, he permanently returned to Türkiye with his family; his meeting with theater artist Ayla Algan influenced his decision to pursue professional acting, and he received acting training at Ekol Drama.

He made his screen debut in 2011 with the TV series Küçük Hanımefendi, Dinle Sevgili, and Pis Yedili; followed by roles in Benim İçin Üzülme (2012), Bugünün Saraylısı (2013-2014), and Racon: Ailem İçin (2015). He had his first film experiences in 2014 with Deliha and Sadece Sen. He gained his main fame with the character Ömer İplikçi in Kiralık Aşk, which aired between 2015-2017; with this role, he won the Golden Butterfly Award twice in a row in 2015 and 2016.

In subsequent years, he took on leading roles in the film *Mutluluk Zamanı* (2017) and the TV series *Kuzgun* (2019); in 2021, he played İsmet in the TV series *Kulüp* and also took on the role of Sultan Alparslan in TRT 1's *Alparslan: Büyük Selçuklu*, a character he played until 2023. Arduç, who has been a goodwill ambassador for the Cancer-Free Life Association since 2016, married actress and screenwriter Gupse Özay in 2020; he returned to the screen with new TV series projects in 2025.
