Arda Esen — Biography

Born in Ankara on May 4, 1975, actor Arda Esen spent his childhood moving between different cities because his father served in the military, and he went on to complete a degree in public administration at Anadolu University. His interest in performing began at a school drama club, and in the early 1990s he joined the company led by Tuncay Ozinel, marking his professional stage debut before going on to perform in productions with Tiyatro Mie, Cagdas Sahne and Tiyatro Kare. With Tiyatro Kare's staging of the musical Bir Demet Yasemen, he toured open-air theaters across the country.

He launched his on-screen career in 1992 with the series Mahallenin Muhtarlari, and over more than three decades has appeared in numerous television productions including Aysecik, Kocum Benim, Doktorlar, Yaprak Dokumu, Zeynep, Kinali Kuzular, Ev Hapsi, Kalp Hirsizi and Kahramanlar, as well as the films Hicran Sokagi and Bordo Bereliler Suriye. He played the character Tunc in the daily series Komsular on Fox Tv.

In his private life, his marriage to Pinar Esen reportedly ended in divorce in the summer of 2013, and press reports soon after described the end of a relationship with actress Ece Gursel. His long-term relationship with actress Sema Simsek has also periodically drawn celebrity press coverage.
