Álex García Fernández — Biography

Born Alejandro Juan García Fernández on 14 November 1981 in San Cristóbal de La Laguna on the island of Tenerife, Álex García worked as a local news reporter in the Canary Islands before turning to acting. His television breakthrough came with the long-running soap Amar en tiempos revueltos, and he later built further recognition through the drama Tierra de lobos as well as a part in Sin tetas no hay paraíso. On screen he has starred in films such as Seis puntos sobre Emma, Kamikaze, Si yo fuera rico and The Bride, and more recently took a lead role in the series Holy Family. He won a Goya Award for best new actor, and was for a time in a relationship with fellow actor Verónica Echegui.
