Akın Akınözü — Biography
Akın Akınözü is a Turkish actor born on September 22, 1990, in Ankara. The son of actress Özlem Akınözü, he studied applied mathematics at the University of California, Berkeley, before turning to acting and began his screen career in 2015 with Muhteşem Yüzyıl; in 2017 he played Murat in Aslan Ailem.
His real breakthrough came with the role of Miran Aslanbey in Hercai (2019); the three-season series earned him a large fan base beyond Türkiye, especially in Spain, Latin America and Russia. He went on to play Cemal in Kaderimin Oyunu (2021), Umut in Tuzak (2022) and Timur Aslan in Veliaht (2025). In 2026 he prepared for the series Aşk ve Taht, in which he shares the lead with Bosnian actress Merjem Šiljak, and the same year he kept his late mother's name alive with a workshop opened in her honor in Bingöl.
