Yavuz Şimşek — Biography
Yavuz Şimşek was a Turkish goalkeeper born in Samsun in 1947. He began his professional career with PTT Ankara before moving to Fenerbahçe, where he spent ten seasons between 1967 and 1977 and made 251 appearances for the club.
During his time at Fenerbahçe he won the Turkish league title in 1967-68, 1969-70, 1973-74 and 1974-75. He was the brother of fellow footballer Yusuf Şimşek and uncle of Murat Şimşek.
