Top Scorer (Gol Kralı) (translated)

Gol Kralı ("Top Scorer") is a 1980 Turkish comedy directed by Kartal Tibet, adapted from Aziz Nesin's novel of the same name. Kemal Sunal stars as Sait Sarıoğlu, a man with no real interest in football who falls for football-mad Sevim and, despite poor eyesight and no talent for the game, decides to become a professional footballer just to win her over.

With Suna Yıldızoğlu and Suzan Avcı rounding out the cast, the film follows the comic mishaps of Sait's determined, mismatched pursuit.
