Yasemin Yazıcı — Biography

Yasemin Yazıcı is one of the younger-generation Turkish actors who moved into acting from a degree in social anthropology, and she works in television, film and on the theatre stage. She is currently best known for the 2026 series Doktor: Başka Hayatta, in which she plays Assistant Doctor Aslı Aslansoy.

Before turning to acting she studied social anthropology at the London School of Economics, completing the degree in 2018; she took dance and vocal lessons, trained in diction and acting at the Dialog and Pera fine arts schools, and then continued her training at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). Her first screen role was Naz Yaman in the series Son Yaz, broadcast on FOX in 2021. 2022 was a busy year: she played Meltem in the film Aşk Taktikleri and Esra in the series Kara Tahta. She then appeared in productions such as Hudutsuz Sevda (2023) and Sevmek Yüzünden (2024), and in 2026 she joined the cast of Doktor: Başka Hayatta as Assistant Doctor Aslı Aslansoy.

Theatre is a separate strand of her work: she has performed in Kral Oidipus, Antigone, Bir Yaz Gecesi Rüyası, Lysistrata, Faust, Hugo Sistemi and Ayrılma. In her private life she announced her relationship with the actor Onur Tuna herself.
