Tom Payne — Biography
Tom Payne, born Thomas Payne on 21 December 1982 in Chelmsford, is an English actor trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. He first became known for playing Brett Aspinall on the BBC drama Waterloo Road across its 2007-2008 seasons, then took the lead as Rob Cole in the film adaptation of Noah Gordon’s novel The Physician. His best-known role came as Paul "Jesus" Rovia in the zombie drama The Walking Dead on AMC, followed by the title part of Malcolm Bright on Prodigal Son, a series he starred in for two seasons beginning in 2019. He has since had a recurring role on Law & Order: Organized Crime and appeared in the 2024 films Horizon: An American Saga - Chapter 1 and the horror thriller Imaginary.
