Winter Journey

Winter Journey (German: Winterreise) is a 2006 German drama film directed by Hans Steinbichler, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Martin Rauhaus. The story follows a businessman on the verge of bankruptcy who falls out with nearly everyone around him and, in his desperation, is taken in by Kenyan con artists.

The 95-minute film had its world premiere on 5 July 2006 at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. It later screened as the opening film of the Munich Film Festival in 2006, which also marked its German premiere. The cast includes Sibel Kekilli, Hanna Schygulla and Josef Bierbichler.
