Tom Sawyer

Tom Sawyer is a 2011 German adventure and family film based on Mark Twain's classic novel The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Directed by Hermine Huntgeburth from a screenplay by Sascha Arango and Sebastian Wehlings, the 109-minute film departs from the source novel at several points and went on to win the Gilde Film Price.

Turkish-German actor Adnan Maral appears in the cast. A sequel, Die Abenteuer des Huck Finn (The Adventures of Huck Finn), reached cinemas in December 2012.
