The Wonderful Day

The Wonderful Day (original title Une merveilleuse journée) is a French comedy film from 1980 directed by Claude Vital, with a screenplay credited to Yves Mirande and Gustave Quinson. Michel Galabru heads the ensemble alongside Daniel Ceccaldi and Stéphane Hillel, while the supporting cast features familiar faces of French cinema of the period, including Bernadette Lafont, Robert Dalban, Anémone, Dominique Lavanant, Paul Préboist, Jacques Balutin and Patrick Préjean. Shot in French and released in 1980, the picture belongs to the tradition of popular French ensemble comedies of its era, built around a large group of well-known character actors under Vital's direction.
