The White Princess

The White Princess is an eight-part British-American historical drama miniseries developed for Starz, which aired from 16 April to 4 June 2017. Based on Philippa Gregory's 2013 novel of the same name and, to a lesser extent, its sequel The King's Curse, it continues the story directly from where the 2013 miniseries The White Queen ended. The episodes were directed by Jamie Payne and Alex Kalymnios.

At the heart of the series is the marriage of Henry VII and Elizabeth of York, which unites the houses of Lancaster and York and effectively brings the Wars of the Roses to an end. Yet the couple's mutual hostility and distrust, combined with the political scheming of their mothers, endanger both the marriage and the kingdom. The story approaches this turbulent chapter of English history largely from the women's perspective, and its reception led Starz to announce a follow-up series, The Spanish Princess.
