The Little Bather

Le Petit Baigneur (The Little Bather) is a 1968 French-Italian comedy directed by Robert Dhéry, with a screenplay by Jean Carmet, Albert Jurgenson and Pierre Tchernia. It was Dhéry's fifth feature film as a screenwriter and actor, and part of the cast was drawn from his troupe Les Branquignols.

Louis de Funès stars as Louis-Philippe Fourchaume, the owner of the Fourchaume shipbuilding company who hates water and boats but loves money. His talented designer André Castagnier (played by Dhéry himself) has created a modern yacht named "Le Petit Baigneur," which Fourchaume hopes will bring him great profits. When the yacht's launch turns into a complete disaster, the furious boss chops the vessel to pieces with an axe, destroys the design and fires Castagnier — only to realize his mistake when orders start pouring in. The cast also includes Andréa Parisy, Michel Galabru and Jacques Legras.
