The American Beauty

The American Beauty (original title: La Belle Américaine) is a 1961 French comedy film directed by Robert Dhéry. The screenplay was co-written by Dhéry with Pierre Tchernia and Alfred Adam, and the film was produced by the company Le Film d'art.

Louis de Funès appears in a double role, while the ensemble also features Jean Lefebvre, Guy Grosso and Christian Marin, along with members of the comedy troupe Les Branquignols. Running 99 minutes, the film was released in Germany under the title Der tolle Amerikaner.
