The Bachmeier Case
The Bachmeier Case (Der Fall Bachmeier – Keine Zeit für Tränen) is a 1984 German drama written, directed, and produced by Hark Bohm, with a score by Jens-Peter Ostendorf. Loosely based on a real case, it follows a fictionalized version of Marianne Bachmeier — renamed Marie Sellbach — who in 1981 shot her daughter's killer inside a courtroom, and traces the toll the killing takes on her family. The film premiered on 18 February 1984. Michael Gwisdek appears as Martin Birkhof, alongside Uwe Bohm in the cast.
