Straight

Straight is a German drama from 2007, directed by Nicolas Flessa and set in the Berlin district of Neukölln. It follows three young adults — Jana, her boyfriend David and the young German-Turkish Nazim — whose lives become entangled in a love triangle that unsettles each of their carefully guarded self-images, drawing in questions of identity, sexuality and belonging. Oktay Özdemir and Özgür Özata are among the cast. The intimate, low-budget film explores the tension between outward appearances and inner truth.
