The Last Kiss (Son Öpücük)

The Last Kiss (L'ultimo bacio) is a 2001 Italian comedy-drama written and directed by Gabriele Muccino. Produced by Fandango, it stars Stefano Accorsi, Giovanna Mezzogiorno, Stefania Sandrelli and Martina Stella in her film debut.

The film follows Carlo and his circle of friends as they approach thirty and question their life choices: Carlo's pregnant partner Giulia faces his inability to embrace married life, a young woman named Francesca is in love with him, and Giulia's mother Anna considers leaving her thirty-year marriage. A major success in Italy, the film won five David di Donatello awards and three Nastro d'argento prizes. It was remade in the United States in 2006 by Tony Goldwyn, and Muccino directed a sequel, Baciami ancora, released in 2010.
