Phantom Pain (German: Phantomschmerz) is a 2009 German romantic drama film written and directed by Matthias Emcke, starring Til Schweiger and Jana Pallaske.

The film follows Marc, a handsome, well-educated drifter who charms women effortlessly but refuses to take responsibility for anything. When he is not working odd jobs to get by, he roams the roads on his motorcycle. He is chronically broke, unreliable, and constantly breaking hearts, yet nobody can truly stay angry at him — not even Sarah, the daughter born of a long, failed relationship. His carefree existence is shattered when a hit-and-run accident costs him his left leg. Fresh out of the hospital, Marc rushes back to his old life of jokes and flirtation, trying to act as if nothing has happened. Only when he meets Nika and falls in love with her is he forced to confront what fate has done to him and to reconsider the way he has been living.

The film premiered in Berlin on 20 April 2009 and was released in German cinemas on 30 April 2009.
