Paz! is a 2002 Italian comedy film written and directed by Renato De Maria. The story unfolds in Bologna in 1977 and brings to the screen a gallery of characters originally created by the celebrated Italian comic artist Andrea Pazienza. Drawing on Pazienza's distinctive world, the film portrays the youth culture and everyday life of late-1970s Italy with a humorous tone. De Maria co-wrote the screenplay together with Ivan Cotroneo and Francesco Piccolo. The ensemble cast includes Claudio Santamaria, Flavio Pistilli, Iaia Forte, Roberto Citran, Giampaolo Morelli and Vittoria Puccini. Shot in Italian and running about 102 minutes, the film stands as one of the best-known screen adaptations of Pazienza's comics.
