On My Way to the Crusades, I Met a Girl Who... (Italian: La cintura di castità), also released as The Chastity Belt, is a 1967 Italian historical comedy directed by Pasquale Festa Campanile. Adapted from a tale in Boccaccio's Decameron, the story follows a knight who, before departing for the Crusades, locks his beautiful wife in a chastity belt to guarantee her fidelity, setting off a chain of schemes, temptations and farcical complications around the coveted key. The film mixes medieval pageantry with the bawdy, satirical tone typical of the period's Italian costume comedies. Tony Curtis and Monica Vitti head the cast, alongside Ivo Garrani, Hugh Griffith, John Richardson and Nino Castelnuovo. The screenplay was written by Luigi Magni. The film opened in Italian cinemas on 26 October 1967 through Titanus and reached American theatres in September 1969 via Warner Bros.-Seven Arts.
