Massacre Play

Massacre Play (original Italian title: Gioco al massacro, also released as The Wounded King and Le Roi blessé) is a 1989 Italian-German thriller drama written and directed by Damiano Damiani. The roughly 98-minute film was produced by Istituto Luce together with RAI. Nathalie Baye and Eva Robin's star, supported by a cast that includes Tomas Milian, Elliott Gould, John Steiner, Galeazzo Benti, Michael Gothard, and Peter Woodthorpe. The picture was released in Germany under the title Spiel mit dem Tod. Made late in Damiani's career, it stands as one of the international co-productions through which the Italian director worked with prominent European and American actors during the 1980s.
