Malkoçoğlu Kurt Bey

Malkoçoğlu Kurt Bey (also written Malkoçoğlu Kurtbey) is a 1972 Turkish historical adventure film directed and produced by Süreyya Duru for Duru Film, with a screenplay by Vedat Türkali. Released in Turkish cinemas on 1 November 1972, it is the final entry in the film series based on Ayhan Başoğlu's comic-strip hero Malkoçoğlu — and the only one in which the lead was played by an actor other than Cüneyt Arkın.

The plot begins as Malkoçoğlu Ali Bey, who has learned the location of Don Casetti's treasure in exchange for sparing his life, dies at Çaldıran. Mahmut, a henchman of Prince Murat — a pretender to the Ottoman throne — kidnaps Ali Bey's son Doğan Bey, who grows up as Don Diaz, the supposed son of Duke D'Alvarez. When Sultan Süleyman the Magnificent learns of the scheme, he sends Malkoçoğlu's other son, Kurt Bey, after Mahmut. Doğan Bey eventually discovers his true identity, and Kurt Bey delivers Prince Murat to the sultan along with Casetti's treasure — and a surprising truth.

Serdar Gökhan stars in the double role of Kurt Bey and Doğan Bey, with Perihan Savaş as Muslu's granddaughter and Hayati Hamzaoğlu as Muslu. The cast also includes Tufan Giray as Prince Murat, Tuncer Necmioğlu as Mahmut, Haldun Ergüvenç as Sultan Süleyman, Kayhan Yıldızoğlu and Nedret Güvenç.
