Les Truands

Les Truands is a black-and-white French comedy from 1956, directed by Carlo Rim. The cast is headed by Eddie Constantine and Yves Robert; Constantine appears as Jim Esposito, while Robert portrays both Amédée Benoit and his father. The ensemble also includes performers such as Noël-Noël, Jean Richard, Albert Rémy and Robert Dalban. Shot in French on 35 mm with mono sound, the picture runs for about an hour and three quarters. In English-speaking territories it was released under the titles Lock Up Your Spoons and The Gangsters. The film is regarded as a representative example of French comedy cinema from the mid-1950s.
