L'Américain

L'Américain is a 1969 French comedy-drama film directed and written by Marcel Bozzuffi. Best known for his long acting career, Bozzuffi made this his only directing effort for the cinema, and the film runs approximately 90 minutes.

The cast is led by Jean-Louis Trintignant and Rufus, with supporting appearances by notable performers of the era including Bernard Fresson, Françoise Fabian, Jacques Perrin, Jean Bouise, Simone Signoret, Monique Mélinand, José Artur and Tanya Lopert. Bozzuffi himself also appears on screen in the film.
