The Girls Class (Kızlar Sınıfı)

Kızlar Sınıfı (The Girls Class) is a Turkish youth comedy series directed by Orhan Elmas, with a screenplay written jointly by Sennur Sezer and Aydan Özyalçıner. Filming began on December 16, 1993, and the series aired on Kanal D from March 18 to June 10, 1994, running for 13 episodes. Shot in Istanbul and İzmir, it holds the distinction of being the first youth series broadcast by Kanal D.

The story unfolds around Samim Andaç High School, which faces closure as its shares keep losing value. While rival school owners wait for it to shut down so they can buy the building cheaply, the alumni association supports the school by admitting scholarship students; the rivals, meanwhile, secretly plant students inside as spies. The leading roles are shared by İlyas Salman, Ayşen Gruda, Gökhan Güney, Ergun Köknar, İlhan Daner, Sibel Gökçe and Nilüfer Öz.
