Two Locks of Hair: The Missing Girls of Dersim (İki Tutam Saç: Dersim'in Kayıp Kızları)

Two Locks of Hair: The Missing Girls of Dersim is a 2010 Turkish documentary directed by Nezahat Gündoğan, built on material gathered for the book that shares its name.

The film follows the fate of two young girls who were separated from their families and sent to other regions during the events in Dersim in 1937. Now in their eighties, the two women describe what they went through in their own words. The title refers to the two locks of hair a grieving mother cut from her lost daughters' bangs and kept with her for decades.

Gündoğan returned to the same subject with a second documentary, Hay Way Zaman, which reached audiences in 2014.
