House of Saddam

House of Saddam is a 2008 British docudrama miniseries co-produced by BBC Television and HBO Films. Directed by Alex Holmes and Jim O'Hanlon, the four-part English-language production aired on BBC Two in the United Kingdom between 30 July and 20 August 2008, with HBO broadcasting it in the United States later that year.

The series dramatizes Saddam Hussein's path from assuming the Iraqi presidency in 1979 to his fall from power in 2003 and his 2006 trial, portraying events largely through his family and inner circle. Its narrative spans the Iran-Iraq War, the invasion of Kuwait and the Gulf War, UN sanctions, and the 2003 invasion of Iraq. Yigal Naor starred as Saddam, alongside Shohreh Aghdashloo, Philip Arditti, and Makram Khoury. The miniseries received generally favourable reviews, and its opening episode drew 2.7 million viewers on BBC Two.
