Everything's Gonna Be Great (Her Şey Çok Güzel Olacak)
Everything's Gonna Be Great is a 1998 Turkish comedy directed by Ömer Vargı and produced by Mine Vargı for Filma-Cass. The screenplay was written by Cem Yılmaz together with Hakan Haksun, and the picture also marked Cem Yılmaz's first big-screen role, in which he shared top billing with musician-actor Mazhar Alanson.
The story begins when two brothers who have not seen each other for years cross paths again in the middle of a brawl. Altan, a small-time hustler who dreams of better days, discovers that his brother Nuri works at a pharmaceutical warehouse and sees it as an easy source of money. His scheme pulls both siblings into an adventure far more dangerous than either bargained for. The contrast between Altan's stubborn optimism and Nuri's resigned outlook drives both the humour and the heart of the film.
Released across Turkey on 27 November 1998, the film drew more than one and a half million admissions, ranking it among the country's most successful comedies of its era. Mazhar Alanson's music for the film was also issued as a standalone album.
