The Circle (Halka)

Halka is a Turkish crime, action and drama series produced by ES Film that aired on TRT 1 in 2019. Its first episode premiered on 15 January 2019, and the series was pulled from the schedule after its 19th episode, broadcast on 28 May 2019, leaving it as a single-season production.

The screenplay was written jointly by Aziz Tuna, Selim Bener, Ali Demirel and Meryem Diri. Volkan Kocatürk directed the first thirteen episodes, after which Başak Soysal and Süleyman Mert Özdemir took over from episode 14 onward.

The title refers to a criminal organization whose symbol consists of three interlocking rings, and the story revolves around the events surrounding this shadowy group. The ensemble cast includes Serkan Çayoğlu, Hande Erçel, Kaan Yıldırım, Nazan Kesal, Ahmet Mümtaz Taylan and Burak Sergen, in a production that blends drama with tension and police intrigue.
