Four Times that Night
Quante volte... quella notte, shown abroad as Four Times that Night, is a commedia sexy all'italiana directed by Mario Bava, a filmmaker otherwise famous for his horror pictures. It remains his only erotic comedy and was completed during a break in the shooting of his thriller Hatchet for the Honeymoon. The story concerns a single night shared by a man and a woman, retold through the contradictory accounts of the people involved or those who claim to know what happened; each narrator reshapes the same evening to suit personal interests and pride, leaving the truth deliberately uncertain. This multi-perspective construction was openly inspired by Akira Kurosawa's Rashomon. Daniela Giordano and Pascale Petit head the cast.
