Dabbe: Zehr-i Cin (D@bbe 5: Zehr-i Cin)
D@bbe 5: Zehr-i Cin (Dabbe: Zehr-i Cin) is a 2014 Turkish horror film written and directed by Hasan Karacadağ and, as the title indicates, the fifth entry in the D@bbe series. Karacadağ is known as the director who uses the jinn most often in Turkish horror cinema. The film runs about 133 minutes, opened on 12 September 2014 and was seen by 133,806 people in Turkish cinemas over its first three days.
The story begins when Dilek, who lives a happy and peaceful life with her husband Ömer, has a dream. In it, indistinct figures whisper something about the devil into her ear, and after she wakes they go on haunting her ordinary life. Ömer links the bad dream to a recent burglary at home, but Dilek increasingly feels the jinn dragging her into a deeper pit. Her fear turns violent and her body begins to slip out of her control. In desperation the couple travel to Bitlis to ask for help from Belkıs Hoca, said to be an expert in such matters. The cast includes Nil Günal Çakıroğlu, Ümit Bülent Dinçer, Sultan Köroğlu Kılıç and Ömer Duran.
