Chuck

TV Series · 2007–2012 · 3 people

Chuck is an American action-comedy spy series created by Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak. It follows Chuck Bartowski (Zachary Levi), a socially awkward computer whiz who runs the tech support desk at an electronics store in Burbank, California. On his birthday he opens an encoded email from Bryce Larkin, an old college friend now working for the CIA, and unknowingly downloads the only surviving copy of America's greatest intelligence secrets into his brain. With those secrets now living in his head, NSA Major John Casey and top CIA agent Sarah Walker are assigned to protect him and draw him into top-secret missions.

The series premiered on NBC on September 24, 2007. When weak ratings threatened cancellation, fans mounted a distinctive campaign aimed at show sponsor Subway, which struck a major sponsorship deal with NBC that helped fund the third season. Renewal remained uncertain each year, but the show ran for five seasons and 91 episodes, ending with a two-hour finale on January 27, 2012.
