Carturan

Carturan (Cărturan) is a 2019 Romanian drama film and the feature directorial debut of Liviu Săndulescu, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Bogdan Adrian Toma. The film had its world premiere at the Busan International Film Festival in South Korea and its European premiere at the Warsaw Film Festival in Poland, before opening in Romanian cinemas on November 8, 2019.

The cast is led by Teodor Corban, Dana Dogaru, Cristina Flutur, and Adrian Titieni, with the film produced jointly by the Swedish company Film i Väst and Romanian Television.
