Aşkın Acıları

Aşkın Acıları is a Turkish film released in 1959. Hüseyin Kaşif both wrote the screenplay and directed the picture. Muhterem Nur and Ahmet Mekin, two of the era's much-loved performers, share the leading roles, while Nezihe Becerikli, Atıf Kaptan and Salih Tozan complete the cast. Shot in black and white, the film belongs to a period when cinema audiences in Türkiye were growing rapidly and the production houses of İstanbul were turning out dozens of melodramas every year. It comes from the early stretch of Ahmet Mekin's long and prolific career.
