Apocalypse Revelation

Apocalypse, originally titled San Giovanni – L'apocalisse and released in Australia as Revelation, is a 2002 biblical television film made for European TV. It forms the closing chapter of Lux Vide's 'Bible' film series and was directed by Raffaele Mertes. The story follows John of Patmos, who, exiled to the island of Patmos under Roman rule, endures harsh labor in the island's mines while receiving the visions he records in the Book of Revelation. Scenes drawn from those visions are interwoven with events confronting the early Christian churches of Asia.

The film stars Richard Harris in one of his final screen roles, alongside Bruce Payne, Vittoria Belvedere, Erol Sander and Luigi Diberti. Produced in English for Rai 1, it runs about 90 minutes.
