Tahir Bilgiç — Biography
Tahir Bilgiç was born on 12 December 1970 in Istanbul and later settled in Australia with his family, attending Narwee High School in Sydney. Of Turkish descent, he built a career as a comedian, actor and screenwriter, writing, directing and starring in live comedy shows such as "Lord of The Kebabs," "From Lebanon With Love" and "Straight Outta Compo."
He has appeared in five Australian sitcoms and three feature films, reaching wide audiences through his role as Habib Halal in the 2003 film "Fat Pizza." Bilgiç co-created and starred in the Channel 10 series "StreetSmart," and he also originated the concept for the Channel 9 series "Here Come The Habibs," for which he served as co-creator.
